ALMACO’s is an EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contractor with newbuilding and modernization capabilities for complete living quarters and smaller accommodation. ALMACO focuses on deliveries that combine demanding high quality standards such as NORSOK. ALMACO’s long experience in building accommodation areas for cruise ships ensures a high quality product at a competitive price.

In-house capabilities for Design & Engineering are:

INTERIOR DESIGN

HVAC/REFRIGERATION

  • All AC and piping design done in house and with partners.
  • Usually system wide design outside of LQ is excluded in order to create a clear scope division

CABINS, ALL PUBLIC SPACES

  • In-house cabin design team performs all cabin and public space design

GALLEYS, COLD & DRY STORES, LAUNDRY

  • In-house design team performs all layout and detailed design, including equipment selection/proposals

Cabins

ALMACO has built and modernized over 25,000 cabins and public spaces since 1998.

ALMACO has extensive experience in designing and supplying cabins and public areas, both modular and stick built, as well as providing and outfitting new accommodation blocks onboard passenger ships at the newbuild stage or during fleet modernizations.

ALMACO utilizes modular cabin technology when building the cabin areas. Cabins are pre-assembled in a temporary factory in close proximity to the structure and loaded into as complete units

ALMACO’s scope of supply is tailored to suit every customer’s unique needs that can include all necessary structural and technical modifications, or it can be limited to interior modifications. ALMACO’s project organization consists of structural, HVAC, electrical and interior experts to ensure a high quality functioning accommodation area.

Steel fabrication is based on global capabilities through different subcontractors, with the emphasis always being on choosing the fabrication location that provides the most value and best quality for our customers.

Thanks to ALMACO’s logistics capabilities, the company provides the FEM analysis and sea transportation of the complete Living Quarter unit globally to support our clients with remote fabrication capacity regardless of the final integration location. Transportation can be planned by different vessel types according to the project needs, including ocean barges, heavy lift vessels or submersible transportation vessels. ALMACO can also conduct the lifting of the unit for final integration.

Interior Design

ALMACO brings the interior design knowledge and functionality from the cruise market to elevate quality standards of offshore accommodations at a competitive price. ALMACO offers the full range of interior design, from high-end to practical solutions, with over 10 years of experience with strict standards such as NORSOK and UK HSE.

Background works

ALMACO has in-house expertise on all disciplines including electrical, HVAC and refrigeration.

ALMACO designs, supplies and installs all insulation, piping, ducting and cabling inside the living quarters

Hotel Areas

ALMACO’s capabilities include all the hotel areas from cabins, wet units and public spaces through the galleys, provision stores and refrigeration machinery.
